The fictional residents
of Vonette Bright's and Nancy Moser's Sister Circle books found encouragement and strength through
their relationships. The bonds that formed created a circle
of love. You can
provide an opportunity for other
women to meet by forming a Sister Circle.
Here are some ideas:
- You can begin with one friend, then invite others to join you.
- Use these opportunities
to discuss life issues highlighted in the books.
- The first meeting can be
purely social - get to know one another.
- If you all have a
common interest such as crafts, scrapbooking or the like, use
this as part of your meeting.
- Don't be afraid to laugh
and be silly; create a special handshake, wear silly hats,
design poodle skirts, whatever!
- Meetings usually go
like this: catch up & settle in, book discussion, life
application, wrap up (includes prayer), hug time.
